With support from NOAA UNC Sea Grant, CFDL scientists developed a trajectory simulation and visualization (TSV) system for the CAPES system. TSV can be used to study the recruitment and setlement patterns in the CAPES ssytem and adjacent coastal oceans. For a sample product click the title image for a quick-time animation depicting the trajectory of passive particles at selected locations as the CAPES system responds to the passage of a cold front.
